Cost of Services

COVERAGE

In-Network Services: I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)

There are many plans within BCBS. To avoid out-of-network charges, please call BCBS to verify your plan (whether my service is covered, what your co-pay and deductible is if any, etc.) prior to your first session with me.

Out-of-Network Services: I am an out-of-network provider for all other commercial insurances.

Many insurance plans offer out-of-network reimbursements ranging from 50-100%. I encourage you to call your insurance company to verify your plan's coverage and assess what your out of pocket cost would be (verify if you have a deductible, what the reimbursement rate is, etc.).

If you choose to work with me as an out-of-network provider, payment will be due at the time of the session. I will provide you a detailed invoice (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement after the session.

Private Pay/Self-Pay Services: If you do not have insurance or do not want to use your insurance, you can elect for "private pay" also known as "self-pay." In this case, neither I or you would be filing claims to insurance. If you choose to work with me via private pay, your payment will be due at the time of the session.

General Information about Billing and Fees:

The No Surprises ActYou have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” which estimates how much your medical care will cost. Under the No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to provide patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for total expected costs of any non-emergency items or services.

You can always request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Your healthcare provider should give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
